Over the past few years New Day Revolution has established themselves as the rock band to keep an eye on: They’ve tore up stages all over Michigan and Ohio while increasing their presence on radio. Songs such as No Goodbye, Judas, and Demon in You have received radio play all over America and parts of Europe. With the release of their self-titled 3rd ep, the group has created their most aggressive and most ambitious piece of work to date. The disc was recorded at Zoinga Recordings and produced by Mick Maslowski (Eva Under Fire) after a very successful Indiegogo campaign. With the help of their fans, the Rebels, NDR hit their fundraising goal in just 2 weeks. Working with Mick has taken the sound of NDR to an all new level. While the band has kept the components that the Rebels have come to love, NDR has added a level of heaviness and groove that was unheard in their previous records and that will ensure to move audiences in every city they hit. Lyrically, frontman Dakota Starr has never been so vicious. We hear him stepping away from introspective lyrics and moving towards more social commentary as evidence on the call to arms against fascism in opener Protest Song ’18, to the attack on established institutions in the newest single Who’s Your God. From start to finish, NDRs ep displays the emotion, intensity, and power that catapulted them to the top of the Detroit scene. New Day Revolution is out everywhere on June 29th.
